About us
History
Bloomington Lacrosse began in 2001 with a mission to bring the sport to our community and create meaningful opportunities for young athletes.
Today, Bloomington Lacrosse is a thriving, volunteer-driven 501(c)3 program offering two high school boys teams (North and South), one high school girls team, three middle school boys teams (U14, U12, U10), and, in partnership with Girls Inc. of Monroe County, one middle school girls team. Our coaches, managers, and parents—all volunteers—are committed to fostering sportsmanship, and growing lacrosse in our community.
Partnership with USA Lacrosse
Bloomington Lacrosse is a proud member of USA Lacrosse, the national governing body of the sport. Through this partnership, we follow nationally recognized rules and safety standards designed to keep the game fun, fair, and safe for every player.
All athletes in our program are required to maintain an active USA Lacrosse membership, which provides important benefits—including insurance coverage, access to age-appropriate training resources, and support for the growth of lacrosse nationwide.
This connection ensures our players, coaches, and families are part of a strong, unified lacrosse community across the country.
